MEET EMARI
Tattoo Artist | Illustrator | Painter
Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, IL, Emari Donahue is a self-taught artist with a diverse background in oil painting, digital sculpting, and tattooing. With many years of experience, he has developed a well-rounded skill set across multiple mediums.
As a child, Emari was captivated by the vibrant artwork that adorned the city's high-rise walls and underground tunnels during his metro and L train rides. Deeply influenced by Hip Hop and Graffiti Culture, his artistic journey began in 2006 with spray painting city walls and train yards. By 2009, his passion for tattooing started to take shape while balancing school and various jobs.
In 2013, Emari committed to his dream of becoming a full-time artist. Between 2014 and 2017, he had the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with talented artists across the United States. For several years, Emari worked from his private studio in San Antonio, TX. In 2023, he opened up Sacred Ritual Tattoo, where he is known for his bold colors and distinctive surrealistic and geometric artwork.
Equally skilled in both color and black-and-grey tattoos, Emari strives to bring his visions to life through various artistic mediums.
